Kathy Sena has been a full-time freelance writer for the past 15 years. She received a B.S. degree in journalism from Arizona State University. Kathy covers consumer, women's, parenting, lifestyle and health topics in addition to writing profiles and personal essays. She is a recipient of two Parenting Publications of America awards for excellence in health reporting and feature writing. She is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and The Authors Guild.

On assignment, Kathy has strapped on skates for an in-line skating camp in Minnesota, re-lived a 5th-grade bra-snapping incident, paddled her own kayak on a California mountain lake and broken out in hives after reviewing one too many spa treatments. She lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband, 13-year-old son and Charlie the rescue dog.
